We are currently looking for a Tool Specialist for our Completions Division to join our Lafayette, LA offshore team.



    The Tool Specialist is responsible for working offshore on oil drilling rigs overseeing equipment installation and providing recommendations and analysis on sand control tools and equipment needed for customer’s completion projects.


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Pre-planning tool jobs
    • Supervising tool jobs on customer locations
    • Installing downhole equipment in customer wells
    • Sand Control Completions 
    • Documentation of final equipment placement and serial numbers for traceability, field invoicing and equipment logistics
    • Maintaining a safe working environment for area of responsibility

    Minimum Requirements

    •  Minimum of 2 years of experience working with sand control tools and/or experience working offshore with downhole drilling or pressure pumping is required
    • Ability to travel extensively and work extended hours and weeks on offshore projects
    • This position is based in Lafayette, LA and requires travel to customer locations as needed
    • Good verbal and written communication, analytical, and troubleshooting skills
    • Building and maintaining positive relationships
    • Willing and able to work long hours when necessary to reach goals
    • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
    • Comfortable working with computers, calculators, measuring tape and ability to perform quick math


    • High School diploma or equivalent required
