    Superior Energy Completion Services (SCS) is currently seeking a Training and Development Specialist to join our team in Houston, TX.



    The Training and Development Specialist will be responsible for Administering the Learning Management System (LMS), in, addition to developing, implementing, and coordinating a variety of training programs for all levels and disciplines within the organization.  Facilitates meetings on different topics (such as Continuous Improvement efforts); these programs are meant to build the capability of the employees within the Division.  In addition to LMS and training responsibilities, this role will support related processes that sustain and enhance the short and long-range mission, goals and strategies of Superior Completion Services. The incumbent should place emphasis on Health, Safety, Environmental programs, as well as Leadership and Oil and Gas Service Company related Technical programs



    •  Promotes a learning culture within the organization
    • Promotes and serves as role model for the Shared Core Values within the organization
    • Plans, develops, implements, coordinates and evaluates training and development activities/programs for the Division for a variety of training types (HSE, soft skill, hard skill, and technical)
    • Networks with others in the organization to share best practices
    • Administers the Learning Management System
    • Develops training related processes, procedures and supporting documentation
    • Sources and assesses appropriate internal and external training resources and trainers to deliver technical training
    • Schedules training courses, venues, providers and resources
    • Interfaces with managers and supervisors to identify training needs, perform job skills analysis & develop training plans
    • Communicates with management/employees regarding training scheduling, enrollment and logistics
    • Develops and maintains division information record keeping systems (spreadsheets, files, databases); prepares training reports
    • Evaluates training effectiveness through surveys and strategic feedback initiatives
    • Continually identifies training and development opportunities for SCS staff at all levels within the division.
    • Provides support to team members on other systems and related needs
    • Develop video learning, games, other activities to enhance learning/support learning requirements of the Division
    • Supports other programs (facilitates continuous improvement meetings,  such as Kaizen’s, SCS Associate Engineer and Intern Programs, etc.) within the organization
    • Makes decisions and recommendations on training related expenditures.



    • A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in training development required.
    • Training design and platform experience, in both soft skills and technical training, is required.
    • Demonstrated capability in developing video training, games, etc. strongly preferred.
    • Experience with Learning Management Systems required
    • Previous Supervisory experience preferred


    • Bachelor Degree required preferably in Human Resources, Learning and Development, or Adult Education and Training
