    HB Rentals is currently hiring for a HSEQ Supervisor to join our team in Broussard, LA.




    This position is designed to support various QHSE-related activities conducted within a specific geographic region of which the organization operates and complies with all respective regulatory guidelines, laws and applicable practices. Understand HSE challenges and opportunities while clearly communicating solutions to a broad stakeholder base.   Influence the methods and beliefs of employees through education and motivating individuals to continue the HSE philosophy.



    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


    • Supervises HSEQ Coordinators who assist the District Managers in the implementation, facilitation and maintenance of the QHSE Program under the direction of the Global QHSE Director

    • Supports the implementation, coordination, and continuous improvement of all quality, health, safety and environmental activities through the HSEQ Coordinators

    • Develops practical solutions for carrying out Corporate QHSE plans that ensures the success of the organization’s QHSE strategy

    • Provides technical guidance and solutions to operational teams regarding quality, health, safety and environmental related issues, conditions and situations

    • Consults with all districts on design, unification and use of programs, procedures and equipment

    • Maintains various types of data that successfully tracks and trends QHSE performance across multiple regions

    • Develops QHSE inductions, training and competency assessments and assesses existing documents for continuous improvement needs

    • Coordinates and conducts regional engagement, facilitation and training sessions

    • Ensures that corrective actions to any unsafe acts or conditions are timely implemented across all regions

    • Facilitates focus on QHSE activities by directing internal QHSE committees and participates in various industry QHSE-related events

    • Ensures that every employee and worker has the right and responsibility to stop work when an unsafe act or condition has been identified

    • Investigates the causes of accidents, injuries and illnesses, develops solutions and ensures their implementation

    • Inspects and tours various work facilities, field sites, equipment and vehicles to detect existing or potential hazards; materials or conditions; recommends corrective, control or preventative measures

    • Alerts managers and employees as to working hazards across the company

    • Coordinates QHSE-related motivation programs that will increase proficiency in safe practices and promote safety consciousness

    • Responsible for changing the HSE culture and raising the “safety bar” through development and implementation of processes, policies, strong coaching skills and employee management skills

    • Effectively manage and lead HSE initiatives through direct report(s) and across all levels

    • Train, motivate and develop reporting HSEQ Coordinators

    • Performs all management responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems

    • Coaches all levels of employees in order to elicit continuous HSE improvement

    • With general autonomy, accountable for the performance and results of related disciplines or functions

    • Responsible for developing, technical writing of, and executing the processes that directly impact training, report writing, planning, policies, meetings, bulletins and alerts


    Essential Qualifications:



    • Minimum fours years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Working knowledge federal, state and local regulations, including but not limited to OSHA, EPA, DEQ, DOT, FMCSA, , SEMS, and BOEMRE, and awareness of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and BS OHSAS 18001 quality management systems and respective requirements.
    • Develop and Manage training program, classes, certifications.
    • Training Certifications in recognized industry standards preferred.
    • Availabilty to travel 50-75% of time to other districts.
    • Clean MVR Report.
    • Knowledge of Department of Transportation rules, regulations and logging requirements.
    • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety ruels, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure materials.
