    The Painter is responsible for the preparation and painting of company assets (equipment) at the ISS facility.

     

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Mask, sandblast, and prepare equipment for painting.
    • Paint equipment by hand/brush as required.
    • Modify work flow schedule as needed.
    • Monitor climate changes for optimal painting time.
    • Utilize paint guns, respirators, and various hand sanders/tools.
    • Verify parts with each work order.
    • Perform routine preventative maintenance on air filter system, blasting pot, blasting guns, and other tools in the painting area.
    • Transfer parts for painting and drying, storage and work areas by hand, forklift and/or overhead crane.
    • Inspect all assembly parts and report defective material or questionable component conditions to management prior to paint setup.
    • Maintain inventory of paints, thinners, primers, solvents, blasting agents, and PPE.
    • Apply asset numbers on equipment.
    • Uphold a clean, safe, and organized work area.
    • Comply with all company safety rules and policies and ISO standards; including wearing protective clothing, handling special chemicals, and handling special equipment.
    • Assist with special projects.
    • Perform all other job-related duties as assigned by the Shop Foreman.

     

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Ability to follow directions
    • Ability to multi-task
    • Knowledge of operating various hand/power tools
    • Sandblasting techniques
    • Ability to operate a forklift and overhead crane

     

    Education:

    • High School diploma or equivalent
