Summary

SES Completions Services is currently seeking a Welder I to join our team in Houston, TX.  The Welder I is a vital part of the Completions team. They fabricate the well screen product line including welding screen to base pipe and welding.  Centralizers to screen and blank joints.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Operate metal welding machinery including rod, mig, and tig.
  • Operate metal working/handling machinery including Metal cut off saw, band saw, cutting torch, forklift and Overhead cranes.
  • Safety, Sanitation, Security – Maintain a clean, neat and orderly work area. Comply with OSHA and MSDS standards

Technical Skills

 

  • Welding Certification a plus.
  • Welding circumferentially while parts are rotating.
  • Ability to weld with  a variety of alloys including mild steel, 316L Stainless, alloy 825, alloy 20 to 4140, 13 chrome, and other Corrosion Resistant Alloys.  
  • Knowledge of the well screen product lines for the purposes of fabrication is a plus.
  • Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.
  • Read, interpret, and work from drawings, diagrams, sketches, or material specifications

  • Ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time without being distracted
  • Accurately complete/maintain necessary reports/records in a timely and legible manner, according to applicable procedures and/or work order
  • Commit  to long hours of work when necessary to reach goals
  • Organize tasks and responsibilities in manner that maintains production output standards
  • Perform routine maintenance inspections according to the standard operating procedure
  • Use time efficiently
  • Communicate effectively within and across divisions
  • Deal with frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events
  • Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

 

Minimum Requirements

 

A minimum of one to three years’ work related experience and/or training in mig, tig and rod; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Training at a welding school a plus.

 

 

Education

 

High School Diploma or GED.
