    Superior Energy Services is currently seeking an experienced compliance professional to join its compliance team as a Compliance Manager based in Houston, TX responsible for compliance support across Superior’s operations.  ­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­This is an excellent opportunity for compliance professional to join a growing oilfield services company.

     

    Position Description

     

    The Compliance Manager is responsible for providing general compliance support and reasonable assurance that the Company is in compliance with all applicable laws and that the Company’s policies and procedures and Our Shared Core Values are being adhered to. The scope of responsibilities requires the ability to conduct a diverse range of confidential investigations into allegations of violation of law, conflicts of interest, FCPA matters, code of conduct and company policy violations and due diligence with third parties. Ideal candidates will have fraud and investigation experience and strong analytical and quantitative skills.

     

     

    Key Responsibilities

     

    • Conduct investigations for complaints received through the hotline or reported to the Ethics and Compliance Department.
    • Create and maintain detailed investigation records and documentation.
    • Work with business units to address compliance matters.
    • Provide assistance for HR related investigations.
    • Collaborate with other departments on compliance matters and initiatives.
    • Advise cross-functional business units on a broad range of ethics and compliance issues.
    • Distribute training and other communications to promote an ethical culture and an understanding of the ethics and compliance program and the anti-corruption program.
    • Support compliance processes and provide guidance to business specific anti-corruption regulatory risk areas, such as gift requests, engaging agents, obtaining licenses and permits and import/export regulations.
    • Keep informed regarding compliance trends, and best practices and assess the potential impact of these changes on organizational processes.
    • Travel:  up to 15%.

     

    Competencies and Skills

     

    The successful candidate will display a high level of technical proficiency, excellent communication skills and enthusiasm for working with a highly collaborative and dynamic team. Specifically, the following skills are expected:

     

    • Forensic accounting investigation experience
    • Experience in conducting a wide range of investigations that may include fraud, code of conduct violations, anti-corruption compliance and other compliance related matters.
    • Experience in due diligence, vetting and monitoring agents and third-party relationships.
    • Experience drafting and presenting effective training.
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
    • Adhere to and promote the highest level of professional and ethical behavior.
    • Excellent time management, strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities.
    • Ability to deal efficiently with others who are working under the pressure of deadlines.
    • Ability to work with others in a complex environment. 

    Education and Experience:

    • Undergraduate degree required
    • 5+ years of relevant corporate compliance experience or the functional equivalent
    • Candidates with forensic accounting experience are of particular interest.
    • Experience working in the energy industry would be of particular interest.
