SESI Corporate, LLC is currently seeking a Staff Auditor to join our team in Houston, TX.


Reporting to the Senior Auditor, the Staff Auditor will participate in individual internal audit projects performing audit procedures and documenting the results of the work performed. The Staff Auditor will work with the audit team and business personnel to understand both financial and operational controls, determine and assess risks within processes, identify controls and deficiencies and provide recommendations to improve processes under review.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Execute fieldwork as directed by the Senior Auditors and Managers.
  • Interact with process owners and control owners in areas under review, conveying the department's guiding principles of integrity, objectivity, innovation, excellence and teamwork.
  • Document business processes, identifying key controls and identifying process improvement opportunities.
  • Monitor compliance with established policies, procedures and sound business practices.
  • Promote implementation of best practices to strengthen internal controls.
  • Prepare, assemble and organize work papers documenting audit procedures performed.
  • Draft audit reports, detailing audit procedures performed and findings (including strengths and weaknesses).

 Skills and Abilities 

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in internal audit, public accounting, consulting, finance or combination
  • Strong analytical, organizational and time management skills, including ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently. 

  • Ability to interface and build relationships with company personnel.

  • Effective oral and written communication skills.

  • Goal-oriented, always driving towards the task at hand and desired outcome.

  • Ability to identify and seek needed information/research skills.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Team-player attitude.

  • Experience in the oil and gas industry is a plus.

  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Willingness to travel 25-50% of the time (with potential for international travel)



  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent field of study
  • CPA/CIA preferred
