In addition to resolving well control and pressure control problems, Wild Well Control's Engineering group provides well control support, well modeling, contingency planning, relief well designing and risk management planning for well control. The specialized Marine Engineering Group provides computer modeling for offshore structures and floating assets, damage and stability analysis, as well as platform recovery.


Wild Well Control is currently seeking a Well Control Instructor to join the team.



In response to increasing customer demand, we are intent on growing our base of domestic Well Control Instructors. You will travel to customer sites and other predetermined locations to deliver interactive certification programs to classes and to a diverse audience base. Your success will be determined in part by how readily you are personally able to assimilate course content and how much enthusiasm you show for it. We are intent on delivering world class service and training; as such we expect you will show concern for your audience and be willing to go the extra mile to ensure their comprehension and learning.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct instructional course training utilizing approved outlines, time frames and presentation materials as approved by Wild Well, IADC and/or IWCF – not necessarily all levels.
  • Complete required enrollment forms and certificates during each course
  • Make sales calls to clients
  • Assist Well Control Training department in Houston develop well control problems for the simulators that are common to the students.
  • Daily interface with Corporate office
  • Any additional duties and responsibilities that may be required.

Minimum Requirements

  • 5 or more years Oil & Gas field experience in a position that requires well control certification.
  • Experience as an instructor or facilitator of well control, HSE or drilling workover.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point.
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to handle highly confidential material with the utmost professionalism
  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to deal with a wide range of situations and personalities.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • A team spirit and cooperative nature.
  • Self starter capable of working and prioritizing projects with little supervision.
  • Mature, dependable, confident, organized and adaptable to change.


  • College graduate preferred with a relevant technical degree; some college and/or attributable experience will be considered.
