HB Rentals is currently seeking a Human Resources Manager to join our team in Broussard, LA

 

Summary:

 

Plans, directs, implements, and oversees human resources policies and activities such as
employment, compensation, benefits, training, employee relations, and communications for
the organization by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develops and implements human resources policies to meet organizational needs and comply with state and federal laws.

  • Identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.        

  • Develops regional human resources budget and reviews status with each location on regular basis.        

  • Oversees research of local market rates for positions to assess relationship to organization compensation plan, determining if and where pay adjustments should be made.         Implements communications systems to ensure all locations have access to information in a timely manner.        

  • Provides guidelines and oversees management of human resources activities such as recruitment, performance review, benefits, training, and employee relations, and resolves problems requiring senior management intervention.        

  • Conducts regularly scheduled meetings with human resources staff to exchange information and provide ongoing support and problem resolution.        

  • Directs development and maintenance of human resources information systems to ensure record keeping and reporting requirements are accurate and timely.        

  • Analyzes trends at each location in turnover, hiring, promotions, separations, and grievances to determine support or action needed to adjust unfavorable trends and makes recommendations.        

  • Develops, implements, and oversees training at each location in interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance review, sexual harassment, and diversity awareness.        

  • Advises management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues.        

  • Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.        

  • Ensures full awareness of, and compliance with, the requirements of all relevant company/customer HSE handbooks, HSE procedures and emergency procedures.         Dresses and interacts with others in a professional manner.        

  • Performs any other delegated duties considered appropriate in order to maintain the efficient running of the department.        

 

Certificates, Licenses and Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in HR Management or related field
  • Five years of HR Management experience/training or equivalent combination of education and expereince.
  • Knowledge of general human resources practices and employment law.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization, both verbal and written
  • Ability to be a good listener who is trusted by others and maintains confidentiality and an open door policy
  • Ability to articulate information and can relate to people at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to be forward-thinking and creative and possesses high ethical standards, good judgment, and an appropriate professional image
  • Ability to be a decisive leader who possesses a “big picture” perspective and understands business implication of decisions
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and employees
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions in diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
