The ERP Functional Analyst II - AX will be an integral part of our overall global Superior ERP Team geographically dispersed to support all our internal users/customers. This highly skilled professional will primarily help us with Enhance (new functionalities) & Support activities for Dynamics AX 2012 R3 ERP


Key Responsibilities

  • Works with end users to solve day to day business problems using the functionality of MS Dynamics AX
  • Identify opportunities to optimize business processes and be very familiar with implementing system improvements and configuring AX 2012 for optimal performance
  • Tightly collaborate with other lead functional and technical AX ERP team members within the ERP Team as well as other groups within the Superior IT Department
  • Enhance and support AX for by conducting user training, solving break-fixes, gathering requirements, unit & regression testing for sprint & project items etc.
  • Support assigned interfaces and business requirements for ERP data
  • Provides business analysis, and recommends best course of action focusing on business process first, technology second.
  • Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business systems and end user needs. Identifies and documents business requirements which could be automated using current / new technology to improve productivity, reduce costs, better serve the customer, or increase revenues.
  • Proposes solutions to best meet the requirements of the organization.
  • Sets up procedures and testing methods to insure the ongoing accuracy of data maintained within all applications.
  • Acts as liaison between the organization and application vendors as required for implementation, problem resolution, application upgrades and bug fixes.
  • Provides support and training to user community


  • 3 to 5 years of Microsoft Dynamics AX experience – AX 2012 R3 Preferred
  • Fluency in English
  • 3+ years of AX finance modules such as AP, AR, GL, FA, CM and PO
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact with different levels of internal customers
  • Team player; Able to work effectively with Corporate ERP and regional IT teams
  • Experience documenting business requirements and processes, use-cases, test cases, workflow processes
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to balance multiple demands and thrive in a collaborative environment
  • Working knowledge of planning and execution of data conversion and integration processes as part of a Dynamics AX deployment
  • Strong knowledge of basic finance daily and month end procedures
  • General knowledge of accounting principles and their flow in AX
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Proven creative problem solving ability and strategic thinking
  • Highly organized and able to work well with employees at all levels in the organization

 Not Required, but a plus:

  • Experience with additional AX 2012 Modules such as Project Accounting, Fixed Assets and manufacturing
  • 2+ years of AX Trade & Logistics modules such as Inventory, procurement and sales orders
  • Experience with AX AsiaPac & LATAM localizations
  • Knowledge of the oilfield services industry
  • MS Dynamics AX certifications
  • Experience supporting highly interfaced ERP environments
  • Ability to use/install/setup 3rd party modules with Dynamics AX


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Accounting/Financial or other Technical field preferred; or equivalent work experience
  • MS Dynamics AX certification is highly desirable.
